Hello. My name is Brandon. I make stuff look cool.
Welcome to my official work site. While I would love to have both my

I find that I get annoyed with long and wordy explanations about graphic design. I get even more annoyed by hearing so-called “professionals” discuss and over talk elements of design. So much, so, that by the end of their spiel, you have no idea what they were talking about, and you’re pretty sure they didn’t either.
I’d rather do the work, than to over-talk it. If someone has that much time to talk about art, you have to wonder if they really have any art to do.
Art and Design just “do it” for me. The first time I was asked “what do you want to be when you grow up?”, I answered, in my four-year-old voice, “An Artist.” I take great pride in fulfilling my four-year-old request.

My friends and I started a band when we were thirteen years old. A band needs logos, flyers, and an insert for their 4-song tapes. (Yes, my band’s first music was sold only on tape. CDRs weren’t too popular yet.) The necessity cultivated my passion for art, and creating the beginning stages of what would come to be a career in graphic design. When my band starting selling t-shirts, I started designing them. Other bands we played with dug the shirts, and had me design some for them. The rest is history.
While band merchandise is about 90% of my workload, I try to stay sharp, and be capable of doing it all. I am taking more and more ownership of my niche in band merchandise, and embracing it. While I do like to be an extremely versatile designer, I also believe in doing one thing, and doing it well.
Thank you for your interest in Dark Collar. I am loving what I do more and more each day, and it’s nice to be able to share it with a community.
